The second part of computer is the software, without software the computer is useless. Actually software operate the hardware. It is software that tells hardware how to do  calculations because processor understand  only binary language which is in 0 or 1 form. So when we enter something through keyboard software or operating system compile them to convert in binary language. So that software has very good role in computer.
